The 2008 hunting season is upon us again and the Coyote Doctors are very excited about the upcoming season. We will be filming hunts for our FOURTH DVD and actually have a few hunts already "in the can".
We are very proud to announce that we have some new sponsors for our next video. We have added Weatherby Rifles as an official sponsor and are thrilled to be shooting a brand new model which Weatherby developed specifically for hunters like ourselves. This new model is called the Weatherby Vanguard Predator model. We are shooting 22-250's just like always and the early results are great. This gun has a hydrographic Natural Gear camo pattern which makes it virtually disappear in our Western South Dakota prairies.
In August, Mendel was fortunate enough to kill the first coyote ever shot with this new model of rifle. That kill should be featured prominently on our next DVD.
The Doctors are also thrilled to announce that Leupold Optics is now an official sponsor of our DVD's. We have used Leupold scopes for many years and are sold on their quality and durability. With the added use of Leupold binoculars and range finders and we are hoping to really get some long range shooting on film for the next DVD. Of course we will also strive to get a great mix of "in your face action" as well.
Our third new sponsor is Danner boots. We hunt rough country in all kinds of weather conditions and are proud that Danner will be helping to get us where we need to go. This is another product we have used for years and are very happy to be able to officially welcome them as a Coyote Doctor sponsor.
On a very personal note, Mendel and Merris recently lost their father, Bruce, after a long sickness. Bruce got his boys started with coyote calling and his skill and techniques were the starting point for many of the tactics the Coyote Doctors have used and refined over the years. He will be thought of often when the Coyote Doctors take the field.
